Maya is a first-generation Indo-Caribbean scenic designer and artist working in theater and film. She creates art as an outlet for change and as a means of creating the world we want to live in. As a designer and world builder, she honors the work by depicting cultures and stories respectfully and truthfully, all while respecting the planet on which we create.
